National workshop "Vietnamese youth promote the tradition of 70 years of Dien Bien Phu victory to build and defend the Fatherland"

Attending the workshop were comrades: Mua A Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Thang Loi, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Political Theory, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and provincial organizations, along with more than 200 delegates who were experts, scientists, outstanding union members from grassroots unions, and Dien Bien soldiers who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

Welcoming the initiative of the units that coordinated to organize the workshop "Vietnamese Youth promote the tradition of 70 years of Dien Bien Phu victory to build and defend the Fatherland" on the heroic land of Dien Bien Phu, Comrade Mua A Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, affirmed: The workshop creates an academic and practical forum for research and information exchange, thereby enhancing cooperation, exchange and learning for scientists , researchers, lecturers, union officials, students of universities and colleges nationwide.

This is also an opportunity for the young generation to learn about the heroic history of the nation, follow in the footsteps of their ancestors and spread the tradition of patriotism among the youth union members, to be proactive, creative, and take the lead in the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland.

Comrade Mua A Son hopes that, through the Workshop, the youth union members will continue to foster revolutionary enthusiasm to fulfill their tasks well: Upholding the spirit, will, role and responsibility in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; promoting patriotic emulation movements, promoting the pioneering, volunteering and entrepreneurial role of the youth; raising awareness, making efforts to cultivate and train to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Vice Principal of the University of Labor and Social Affairs Doan Thi Mai Huong said: The conference selected 92 articles by scientists and authors currently working and studying at 50 units and localities nationwide. The articles focused on clarifying the role of youth in the history of building and defending the country and in the period of national renewal, especially in the resistance war against French colonialism, culminating in the Dien Bien Phu victory.

The conference was divided into two sessions; the first session was about Vietnamese youth promoting the tradition of patriotism and the Dien Bien Phu Victory in the struggle for independence and protection of national sovereignty; the second session was about promoting the role of Vietnamese youth in the new situation.

The workshop attracted the attention of Dien Bien soldiers and many youth union members of Dien Bien province.

Dr. Le Tien Dung, Vice Principal (in charge) of Dien Bien Provincial Political School, said that educating the young generation in revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyle in general and patriotic traditions in particular is a strategic task that requires special attention from Party committees at all levels, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, organizations, and the whole society.

Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen direction, guidance and supervision of the implementation of issued resolutions and conclusions; developing specific guidelines on the role of the Youth Union in educating patriotic traditions is a regular and important task.

In addition, it is necessary to continue creating favorable conditions for investment in construction and upgrading of facilities for children's houses, cultural institutions, and healthy entertainment venues for young people, contributing to organizing, educating, and orienting the new generation of young people in the new era.
