Workshop on the role of family and clan in building a learning society, contributing to preserving and promoting cultural values and good qualities of Vietnamese people in the new era

On the afternoon of August 15, the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education organized an online seminar with the theme "The role of families and clans in building a learning society, contributing to preserving and promoting cultural values and good qualities of Vietnamese people in the new era". The seminar was held in both direct and online formats at connecting points in provinces and cities across the country.

Attending the workshop at Ninh Binh bridge were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education; representatives of a number of relevant departments and branches.

At the workshop, with a spirit of enthusiasm and responsibility, leaders, managers and scientists spoke and discussed the role of family and clan in preserving and promoting the precious traditions and good qualities of the Vietnamese people.

Many delegates also shared experiences and good practices in encouraging children to promote the spirit of studiousness, preserve family traditions and education; develop reading culture in families and clans, contributing to promoting community learning culture in the era of technology 4.0; solutions to promote the role of clans in arousing national values and good values of Vietnamese people.

Many localities also shared good practices in promoting the role of the Association for Promotion of Education in building a learning society, a lifelong learning model; experiences and solutions to promote the role of families and clans, especially clans in ethnic minority areas, in propagating and mobilizing to improve people's knowledge, develop the economy, build cultural life, build a prosperous and happy life. Promote the role of prestigious people in the community in building learning families and learning clans. Promote the role and responsibility of leaders of Party committees and authorities in leading and directing the implementation of learning and talent promotion activities, building a learning society, paying attention to mobilizing resources, developing the Fund for Promotion of Learning and Talent Promotion.

Delegates also proposed many solutions to continue promoting and further enhancing the role of families and clans in educating the tradition of studiousness, forming and promoting cultural beauty and cultural values in new living conditions.

Through the workshop, the core elements to preserve and promote the role of families and clans in preserving and promoting Vietnamese national identity are identified; solutions to promote the role and participation of families in sustainable social development processes, especially promoting the role of families and clans in developing Vietnamese culture so that "culture lights the way for the nation to go".
