“114 Fire Alarm” Contest and Launch of Volunteer Fire Fighting Team on Cruise Ships

Teams participate in the fire fighting and rescue practice competition.

Participating in the “114 Fire Alarm” contest are 4 teams representing 400 tourist boats currently operating in Ha Long Bay. The teams go through 2 rounds of competition including theory and practice of firefighting and rescue, demonstrating their understanding of legal regulations, knowledge, and practical skills in firefighting and rescue, especially in the activities of transporting, welcoming and serving tourists visiting and staying in Ha Long Bay.

The knowledge and skills in handling fire and explosion situations, rescuing people and property were applied and practiced well by the teams through the competitions, not only improving response capabilities but also proactively preventing the risk of fire and explosion on cruise ships.

The Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the team that won the "Fire Alarm 114" contest.

On this occasion, the “Volunteer Fire Fighting Team for Cruise Ships” was established and launched for the first time. This is the core force, effectively promoting the “4 on-site” motto in fire prevention and fighting on cruise ships.

The organization of the 114 Fire Alarm Competition and the establishment of the model of "Volunteer Fire Fighting and Rescue Team" were deployed by the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Police in 2025. Many models have been established in industrial parks, clusters, and schools in the province; helping to improve the initiative in preventing and responding to fire and explosion situations, ensuring security and safety, especially in key areas and facilities in the whole province.
