Today, nearly 1.1 million candidates completed procedures to take the high school graduation exam.

TPO - At exactly 2:00 p.m. this afternoon (June 26), nearly 1.1 million candidates will go to testing sites nationwide to complete procedures for the 2024 High School Graduation Exam and correct errors (if any).

This morning, the invigilators went to the test sites to meet and prepare for the candidates this afternoon. This afternoon, candidates arriving at the test sites will be briefed on the test schedule, exam regulations, drum commands, and corrections (if any).

This is considered a very important content before the exam that candidates and parents should not be subjective about. In fact, in previous exams, there were still cases of candidates not coming to the exam location on the day of exam procedures, leading to taking the wrong route on the exam day, or even going to the wrong exam location.

The exam took place over 2 days, from June 27-28, with 5 exams including: Math, Literature, Foreign Language, 1 combined exam of Natural Sciences including 3 subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology; 1 combined exam of Social Sciences including 3 subjects: History, Geography, CivicEducation .

Tomorrow morning (June 27), candidates will take the Literature exam (120 minutes); in the afternoon, they will take the Math exam (90 minutes).

On the exam day of June 28, in the morning, candidates will take the Natural Science exam, each subject will last 50 minutes; Social Science exam, each subject will last 50 minutes. In the afternoon of the same day, candidates will take the Foreign Language exam (60 minutes) and if there are no unusual situations that require using the backup exam day (June 29), the exam will end.

Candidates should remember that on exam days, they are only allowed to bring permitted items into the exam room such as: pens, rulers, pencils, erasers, calculators without word processing function and without memory cards, Vietnam Geography Atlas, etc.

Prohibited items include: carbon paper, erasers, alcoholic beverages, weapons and explosives, flammable substances, documents, communication equipment (receiving, broadcasting information, recording audio, video) or containing information for cheating on exams.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that this year, nearly 1.1 million candidates registered for the exam (an increase of more than 45,000 candidates compared to the 2023 exam). Of which, nearly 47,000 were independent candidates, accounting for 4.38%.

The total number of candidates registered for exemption from the Foreign Language exam is nearly 67,000, accounting for 6.25% of the total number of candidates (Hanoi has 21,554 candidates; Ho Chi Minh City has 13,076 candidates).
