Dien Bien Education Sector spreads the emulation movement of innovation and creativity

Innovation in management, teaching and learning

Implementing the movement "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning", the Department of Education and Training of Dien Bien directed units to concretize the movement associated with studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh ; at the same time, deploying the campaign "Each teacher is an example of morality, self-study and creativity", the movement to build green, clean, beautiful and safe schools.

Educational institutions in the province have developed emulation criteria that are suitable for practice; focusing on school culture, educating innovative entrepreneurship skills and raising awareness of digital transformation and digital economy for students. The movement contributes to creating a positive learning environment, maintaining discipline, and improving the quality of education.

The Education sector promotes management innovation, promotes creativity among teachers, and arouses the initiative of students. At the end of the 2024-2025 school year, the entire sector has 7 collectives and 29 outstanding individuals receiving Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training .

Many innovative models have been effectively implemented: "Traffic safety kindergarten", "Building a child-centered kindergarten", "Friendly library", "Vegetable garden I take care of", "Volunteers supporting language and cooking for children in disadvantaged areas"... Along with that, scientific research, start-up and creative experience activities are focused on. The 2025 Provincial Science and Technology Competition attracted 95 projects, of which 56 projects won prizes, including 5 First prizes, 12 Second prizes, 22 Third prizes and 17 Fourth prizes.

Creating breakthroughs in teaching and learning

The movement "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation" has been strongly responded to by the Dien Bien Education sector. The Department of Education and Training has developed and implemented Plan No. 1518/KH-SGDĐT on launching the movement "Digital transformation for the period 2023 - 2030", associated with Project 06 of the Government, ensuring progress and quality.

By the 2024-2025 school year, 100% of general education and continuing education institutions will complete digital management models and standardize digital data; 100% of primary schools will deploy electronic transcripts; and the entire sector will implement cashless tuition payments.

Online teacher training has been expanded; VNPT, Viettel, Google Meet, Zoom... platforms have been flexibly applied. In the first 6 months of 2025, 3 training courses on new generation artificial intelligence applications were organized for 100% of managers and core teachers, helping them know how to exploit and apply AI in management and teaching.

In particular, the "AI Festival" event in Dien Bien was successfully organized with many activities: opening the STEAM Hub Technology Library, presenting projects applying GenAI, organizing a friendly Robotics tournament... The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing and applying AI in teaching.

Spreading advanced models

Along with digital transformation, the movement "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promoting lifelong learning in the period 2023 - 2030" is widely deployed.

The Education sector coordinates with the Association for Promotion of Education, departments and branches to implement programs to promote learning and talent, linking formal education with continuing education, improving the capacity of vocational education and continuing education centers, foreign language and information technology centers.

The movements of "Learning Family", "Learning Clan", "Learning Community", "Learning Unit" have developed strongly: more than 104,000 families registered for "Learning Family" (71.09%), 712 clans for "Learning Clan" (67.87%), 1,270 learning communities (87.47%), 717 learning units (98.62%).

Dien Bien province achieved level 2 illiteracy eradication standards and level 3 universal primary and secondary education - completing the goals set by the Provincial Party Congress.

The industry also promotes propaganda and replication of typical advanced examples. In the 2024-2025 school year, the Department of Education and Training will introduce 15 typical examples (2 groups, 12 individuals, 1 "Good person, good deed") to promote and spread on the industry's electronic information portal and fanpage.

Notable examples include Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted - a typical collective; Mr. Bui Van Iu - Secretary of the Youth Union of Cha Cang High School; Cu Quoc Son - a student who won the third prize in the national Science and Technology competition; Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh - a teacher at Muong Nha Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, a model of "Good people, good deeds"; and Do Manh Thai and Luong Tuan Khang, who won the national prize.

In April 2025, the 6th Conference of typical advanced models in the Education and Training sector of Dien Bien province (2025 - 2030) was held, honoring 15 outstanding collectives and 50 individuals, creating a widespread ripple effect throughout the sector.

From the movement "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning" to "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation", the Dien Bien Education sector has concretized the policy of the Ministry of Education and Training with practical actions, affirming its pioneering position in innovation, contributing to improving the quality of education and building a modern and humane learning environment.
