The program provided free dental check-ups and consultations to over 1,100 children in the commune. Of these, approximately 800 students received treatment for oral health issues such as filling cavities, dental repairs, gingivitis treatment, teeth cleaning, and extraction of baby teeth.
In addition to medical examinations and treatment, the delegation also donated 850 dental care packages for children; provided 40 sets of books and notebooks to students from disadvantaged backgrounds; and supported 3 sets of sports equipment for Phuoc Nang, Phuoc My, and Kim Dong Primary and Secondary Schools to encourage and motivate the students' learning and training.
To implement the program, the hospital mobilized a large workforce of nearly 100 people, including 25 doctors, 35 nurses, and 28 support and logistics staff. In addition, there was a 20-person cooking team that served the delegation throughout the program.
To transport the equipment, machinery, and 25 mobile dental chairs for examination and treatment, the team used 3 16-seater vans, 3 trucks, and many other vehicles.
The program not only provides free oral health care services to children in disadvantaged areas but also spreads the spirit of sharing and community responsibility among the city's medical staff. This contributes to raising children's awareness of health care, increasing their confidence in their studies and lives, and strengthening the bond between the health sector and the local community after this meaningful partnership program.
