This number reaches over 31,000 students if all levels of study are included. Vietnam is the leading ASEAN country in terms of the number of students studying in the US.

Notably, nearly 50% of Vietnamese students in the US are studying fields in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), contributing to Vietnam's goals of developing human resources for high-tech industries.
