Over 320 hectares of crops meet organic standards.

In Thai Nguyen province, there are currently 320 hectares of crops certified as meeting organic standards. Of these, tea has the largest area of ​​organically grown crops with nearly 180 hectares, followed by fruit trees with 48 hectares, rice with nearly 40 hectares, medicinal plants with over 15 hectares, and the remainder being other crops.

Growing leafy greens in greenhouses makes it easier to meet organic standards.

Organic agriculture is a production model focused on sustainable value, maintaining the health of the soil, ecosystems, and people. The overall goal is to encourage the non-use of agricultural chemicals such as pesticides, chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and growth stimulants. This creates conditions for closed-loop farming, utilizing available resources and providing safe, highly nutritious food to the market. This is considered the optimal measure to limit and control pollution and ensure sustainable agricultural development.

In Thai Nguyen , this sustainable production model has been applied by some tea-growing households in the communes of Tan Cuong, La Bang, Vo Tranh, Dong Hy, etc., since the early 2000s. However, it is only in the last 10 years that the production of crops meeting organic standards has spread more widely.
