The most severely affected area is Ea Súp district, with approximately 2,595 hectares of crops submerged, including 2,056 hectares of rice, 481 hectares of vegetables, 57.5 hectares of perennial plants, and 6.6 hectares of fish ponds. Regarding transportation: on National Highway 14C (the section from Hamlet 8, Ia Rvê commune to Ia Lốp commune), the water level is over 1 meter deep and currently impassable; in Ia Lốp commune, three points on inter-commune roads are flooded; in addition, several other points on inter-commune roads are flooded with water levels ranging from 10 to 20 cm. Regarding irrigation: the floods damaged approximately 2 km of the N12 canal, part of the main western canal of the Ea Súp upper reservoir; the main western canal broke at section K13+300; and some canal structures suffered landslides.
In Lak District: one house collapsed; 1,602 hectares of rice fields were flooded; and approximately 30 meters of the Krong Na River bank (in Buon Triet commune) overflowed. Currently, water is flowing rapidly from the streams, posing a risk of widespread flooding, especially in the three communes of Buon Triet, Buon Tria, and Dak Lieng. In Lien Son town and the communes of Yang Tao, Bong Krang, and Dak Nue, the water is receding, and farmers are focusing on recovery efforts and crop care.
Additionally, in Krông Bông district, 148 hectares of rice fields were flooded, and some sections of rural roads were also flooded. The water has now largely receded, and traffic is restored. In Krông Ana district, approximately 206 hectares of rice fields were flooded (130 hectares in Dur Kmăl commune, about 70 hectares in Bình Hòa commune, and 6 hectares in Buôn Trấp town).
| National Highway 14C (the section from Hamlet 8, Ia Rvê Commune, passing through Ia Lốp Commune, Ea Súp District) is currently impassable. |
To promptly respond to the floods, the Provincial Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control directed localities to organize serious duty shifts; proactively prepare plans to ensure safety in disaster prevention and control according to the "four on-the-spot" principle, avoiding passivity in any situation; regularly disseminate information and remind people to pay attention to ensuring the safety of people and property, and if necessary, proactively relocate people to safe places; and urge people to quickly harvest flooded areas with the motto "better to harvest early than risk losing the crop." At the same time, a delegation was organized to inspect and direct the response and recovery efforts following the natural disaster in Krông Ana district.
The People's Committee of Ea Súp district has directed the People's Committees of the communes to prepare plans for evacuation in case floodwaters continue to rise, to ensure the safety of people's lives and property. The People's Committee of Lắk district has directed Buôn Triết commune to mobilize manpower, materials, and equipment to repair the riverbank breach. The People's Committee of Krông Ana district has directed communes, towns, and cooperatives to increase the use of various types of pumps to promptly implement flood control measures for rice fields, aiming to minimize damage caused by heavy rains to people's production...
