According to information from Phu Duc General Hospital ( Hung Yen province), by the evening of September 5, most of the students hospitalized after the lunch were conscious, only a few students had symptoms of bloating and digestive disorders.
The female teacher is still in the hospital for continued health monitoring.
Previously, on the afternoon of September 3, after a lunch at An My Primary School (Phu Duc commune, Hung Yen province), a teacher and 41 students of this school had to be hospitalized and treated at Phu Duc General Hospital (Hung Yen province).
Almost all the students admitted to the hospital had similar symptoms such as stomachache, vomiting, and loose stools. Some students also had fever and were closely monitored and given IV fluids.
The most serious case was the female teacher, who was hospitalized at around 5:00 p.m. on September 3 with abdominal pain. The pain stopped at 9:00 p.m. the same day.
Phu Duc General Hospital had to mobilize additional teams of emergency doctors and nurses and arrange beds for teachers and students to be monitored and treated.
Upon receiving this information, the Food Safety and Hygiene Department of Hung Yen province quickly went to Phu Duc General Hospital to verify and collect information about the incident.
Phu Duc General Hospital is treating the above cases for digestive disorders and monitoring for food poisoning./.
