On the morning of August 4, the leader of Tan Chau commune ( Nghe An province) said that the forest fire that occurred in the area was controlled and completely extinguished early this morning.
Accordingly, at around 5:30 p.m. on August 3, people discovered a fire breaking out in a pine forest area in the area. The fire quickly spread due to hot, dry weather, rugged mountainous terrain, and strong southwest winds.

Upon receiving the news, local authorities immediately mobilized local forces and coordinated with functional forces to organize fire fighting.
According to local leaders, the government mobilized more than 400 people to control the fire, including: forces from the Defense Command of Region 2 - Quynh Luu; militia; police; forest rangers and a large number of local people. Specialized fire fighting equipment was also deployed to support effective fire fighting.
Throughout the night, the forces divided into many teams and groups to approach the scene, collect vegetation, clear the area and cut firebreaks to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading.
With efforts throughout the night to put out the fire, by about 3am on August 4, the fire was extinguished. Currently, local authorities are coordinating with relevant agencies to count the damage and investigate and clarify the cause of the fire.
