The museum's domed architecture stands out among the lush green forest.
The museum was built near the Kitadani excavation site, where many Japanese endemic dinosaurs such as Fukuiraptor, Fukuisaurus and Koshisaurus were discovered. With a modern aluminum dome design standing out among the lush green mountains and forests, the building makes a strong impression at first sight.

The museum's exhibition space is spacious and divided into three main areas: Dinosaur World, Life History and Earth Science . The highlight is more than 40 fully reconstructed dinosaur skeletons, including famous species such as Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops and Stegosaurus. Robotic dinosaur models also help to vividly recreate their characteristics and actual sizes.
The fully restored life-size dinosaur skeletons are the highlight of the Museum.
The museum also has a fossil excavation experience area where visitors, especially children, can transform into "little archaeologists" and directly learn about excavation and paleontological research. Not only is it a display location, it is also a center for scientific research, international cooperation and regularly organizes specialized seminars.
The museum attracts visitors with its large and diverse exhibition areas.
With a harmonious combination of knowledge, technology and practical experience, the Fukui Dinosaur Museum not only opens the door to explore the mysterious prehistoric world but also inspires the passion for science for all ages. This is a destination not to be missed for visitors when coming to the Hokuriku region, northwest of Honshu Island - the main island of Japan.
