At the working session, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung said that the province is actively attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), especially in two key areas: transport infrastructure and agricultural and aquatic product processing industry.
An Giang currently has many advantages in raw material areas of rice, pangasius, vegetables, fruits... This is an important basis for the province to strongly develop deep processing industry, increase product value and expand export markets. Along with the traffic infrastructure system being completed, An Giang is expected to become the center of agricultural and aquatic product processing of the Mekong Delta in the coming years.

According to comrade Ho Van Mung, the province is also planning a new route of about 60km long, connecting Rach Gia - Long Xuyen, suitable for implementation in the form of BT, BOT... At the same time, priority is given to attracting investment in industrial zones, clusters and the energy sector to increase the proportion of industry in the economic structure from less than 20% at present to 25-30% in the coming time.

In Vietnam, CPCG has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Hanoi People's Committee for the 2023-2027 period, with a total estimated capital of over 5 billion USD, including the Tu Lien Bridge project, Ngoc Hoi Bridge and Metro Line 5 (Van Cao - Hoa Lac). The two major bridge projects started construction in 2025, and the metro line is expected to start construction next December.

After the discussion, comrade Ho Van Mung requested the Pacific Construction Group to soon complete the project documents, clarify the scale, technology, environmental standards, construction solutions, total investment and implementation progress, in order to promote effective cooperation with the province, strive to start investment in early 2026, contributing to promoting sustainable infrastructure and socio-economic development of An Giang.
