Phu Quoc Special Zone requires dismantling and moving advertising billboards, canopies, and fences out of the road corridor

On the afternoon of November 9, the Standing Committee of the Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee announced that it had issued a notice requesting organizations, individuals, and households to dismantle and relocate advertising billboards, canopies, fences, and not conduct business, trade, display goods, or install constructions on the road corridor of land managed by the State.

Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee said that this is to ensure the progress committed to the Prime Minister and An Giang Provincial People's Committee.

Recently, the People's Committee of Phu Quoc special economic zone has directed the special economic zone's departments, branches, organizations and forces stationed in the area to deploy and promote propaganda activities, mobilize cadres and people to raise awareness of advertising activities, put advertising activities in order, overcome the situation of illegal construction not in accordance with regulations and business of covering, blocking, encroaching on roads and sidewalks, causing obstacles and insecurity for traffic participants, and losing urban beauty.

The People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone has notified organizations, individuals, and households that place advertising boards, classified ads in violation of regulations, and construct works, architectural objects, and display goods on the roadway, sidewalk, and within the road corridor on the following routes: DT.975, 30 Thang 4, Hung Vuong, Nguyen Trung Truc, Duong Dong area; DT.973, from Marriott to Cong Binh roundabout, Nguyen Van Cu, Pham Ngoc Thach, Le Quy Don, Nguyen Truong To (from the intersection of Nguyen Van Cu to Ho Thi Nghiem), An Thoi area... must be responsible for self-dismantling and moving all works, architectural objects, and goods to return the land to its original state within 7 days (from November 8 to November 14, 2025).

If after the above time, organizations, individuals and households do not voluntarily carry out the dismantling and relocation, the People's Committee of Phu Quoc special economic zone will coordinate with competent agencies to organize handling according to the provisions of law.
