Gold shop employee embezzled nearly 2 billion VND

On the morning of November 10, An Giang Provincial Police said they were investigating a case of a gold shop employee appropriating valuable property in An Phu Commune (An Giang Province).

According to the initial investigation, around the beginning of July 2025, TK gold shop owned by Mr. TVS, in An Hung hamlet, An Phu commune ( An Giang province) hired Tran Thi Chi as a saleswoman, in charge of managing and reporting the amount of gold each day.

At around 8:00 a.m. on November 6, Mr. S suspected Chi of appropriating gold, so he checked and discovered that the store had lost many gold assets, with a total value of nearly 2 billion VND.

Working with the police, Tran Thi Chi admitted to having stolen gold from the store many times, then sold and pawned it at other gold stores in An Phu commune.

The case is currently being investigated and handled by An Giang Provincial Police according to the law.
