According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province, in the first seven months of 2025, the province welcomed nearly 6 million visitors, including more than 5 million domestic tourists and over 876,000 international tourists. From now until the end of the year, Vinh Long aims to welcome more than 4.6 million visitors, with total revenue from tourism activities reaching nearly 3,000 billion VND.
Following the merger, the province gained over 130 km of coastline – a new advantage for developing "3-in-1" tourism products: river and garden tourism, distinctive Khmer culture, and beach tourism. The province also focuses on developing waterway tourism routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Mekong Delta provinces, linked to traditional craft villages, historical sites, and culinary culture.

From now until the end of the year, Vinh Long will step up its efforts to promote and organize events, and develop new, unique, and competitive tourism products.
Mr. Duong Hoang Sum, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province, said: “When merged, the potential of tourism products in Vinh Long province is on a larger scale, which is very much needed for international tourists. In the coming time, all our tours and routes will be more closely connected, and tourism products will be more diverse, creating conditions to retain tourists. We also identify which markets are our strengths, so that we can have a practical direction.”
