More than 93% of communes and wards have withdrawn funds to spend on National Day gifts on September 2nd.

As of 11:00 a.m. today (September 1), more than 93% of communes and wards nationwide have completed withdrawing money to pay for the Government's 100,000 VND gift to people on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

The State Treasury said that it is working hard to coordinate with local agencies and units to implement the Prime Minister 's direction on spending 100,000 VND in gifts for each person on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.

According to a quick report, by 11:00 a.m. on September 1, 3,120/3,321 communes and wards (about 93.95%) nationwide had completed withdrawing funds from the State Treasury.

Of which, in 18 provinces and cities such as Hue, Bac Ninh , Ca Mau, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa..., all communes and wards have completed the withdrawal of funds.

The disbursed amount is nearly 10,428.6 billion VND, equal to 96.99% of the assigned estimate.

The State Treasury notes that this figure only reflects the portion of funds that have been disbursed from the treasury.

The People's Committees of communes and wards will base on the actual situation to pay directly to the people.

The State Treasury affirmed that it will continue to closely coordinate, speed up disbursement progress, and ensure adequate funding for localities to organize gift giving to citizens according to plan and in accordance with the Government 's direction.

According to VTC News, from the afternoon of August 30, many residential groups went to each household to make a list of household members. On August 31, many cash gift distribution points in wards and communes worked past 10 p.m. to directly give cash gifts to people before National Day, September 2.
