Thanh Cong Dao Thanh Cooperative was established in 2019, with 30 initial members, with creative ways of working, knowing how to promote linkages and cooperation in production and product consumption, attracting more and more farmers to join the cooperative. Up to now, the cooperative has 102 official members and many farmers participating in linkages to carry out production.

Cooperatives operate with the goal of mutual support in production and business, meeting the common needs and aspirations of members in production and business, increasing practical benefits... In addition to maintaining good implementation of essential services, cooperatives also effectively implement agricultural material supply agreement services and link to consume products for farmers; actively mobilize farmers to apply mechanization in production to free up labor, reduce agricultural material costs, improve productivity and crop efficiency... This is demonstrated by increasing members' annual profits from 5 - 10%.

In addition, the cooperative strengthens joint ventures and partnerships with economic units and individuals to expand services to help reduce production costs and increase income for members. Ms. Ho Thi Lan Anh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and Director of the cooperative, said that just being able to purchase at the garden helps cooperative members avoid the need to harvest and pay for transportation.

The cooperative also promotes linkages with seed and fertilizer companies for member households and farmers according to a centralized supply linkage model, post-harvest payment, without interest. This helps reduce input costs for member households and farmers.

Currently, the Cooperative has registered 2 growing area codes including: Coconut growing area code, with an area of over 170 hectares; Grapefruit growing area code is 30 hectares. This is also a solid premise for the consumption of goods, especially the export of agricultural products in foreign markets after harvest.

In addition to solving the product output, the cooperative also solves the input stage, including providing organic fertilizers and biological pesticides for members to use on grapefruit trees. The cooperative allows members to sign contracts to buy fertilizers and pesticides, and only pay at the end of the season.

To ensure the quality of grapefruit in the direction of food safety, without pesticide residues, members of the cooperative all apply organic farming processes. Thanks to that, grapefruit products of cooperative members have been certified to meet VietGAP standards.

In order for the cooperative’s grapefruit products to meet standards, the cooperative’s leaders have recently encouraged members to produce according to VietGAP standards, aiming for organic production. They have also promoted members to produce products that are both high quality and safe for food to protect consumers’ health.

Regarding the production process, the cooperative guides members to use mainly organic fertilizers and biological pesticides. In addition, for gardens registered for production according to VietGAP and OCOP standards, it is absolutely forbidden to use banned chemical pesticides.

Joining the cooperative since its inception, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Truong Xuan B hamlet, Thanh Binh commune, Cho Gao district, was very excited because his 5 hectares of land specializing in growing green-skinned grapefruit were always supported by the cooperative with agricultural supplies and grapefruit care techniques according to scientific and technical advances. Thanks to that, his grapefruit garden always grows well, has few pests and diseases, and especially the harvest always achieves productivity, and the grapefruit meets the standards required by the cooperative.

Or like Mr. Le Van Nho, Long Hoa A hamlet, Dao Thanh commune, My Tho city, is cultivating 5 hectares of coconut trees that are 6 years old. Mr. Nho said that before joining the cooperative, he cultivated in the traditional way, so the coconut yield was not high and the output was unstable.

However, after being introduced by Dao Thanh commune to join the cooperative, he was not only given the opportunity to participate in cultivation training classes, but also had his products consumed, and his income became increasingly better.

According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cooperative, Ho Thi Lan Anh, this type of economy has clear advantages, suitable for the development needs of the market economy. The cooperative operates on a voluntary basis, the members have been proactive, exchanged, discussed to find the most optimal direction, the best way, boldly invested, developed production with internal resources. The members of the cooperative always seek, progress, learn from each other's experiences in production, exchange science and technology to apply to production, harvest and consume products.
