(sonla.gov.vn) On July 29, 2025, Comrade Trang Thi Xuan, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee, Head of the Content and Foreign Affairs Subcommittee chaired the expanded meeting of the Content and Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on reviewing and preparing the content of organizing activities to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the founding of Son La province. Attending the meeting were members of the Content and Foreign Affairs Subcommittee; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.

The 130th anniversary of Son La province is expected to take place in early October 2025 at Tay Bac Square. Celebration activities include: Literature and art composition contest with the theme "Son La 130 years of formation and development"; groundbreaking and inauguration of a number of major works and projects of the province; organization of the Son La Ethnic Culture Festival; display of booths introducing achievements in socio -economic development; tourism products, safe agricultural products, OCOP products of Son La province; Thai Xoe Art Festival; performance of excerpts from festivals or traditional rituals of Son La ethnic groups; competition of traditional sports; competition to display and introduce agricultural products of localities, etc.

To prepare well for the 130th Anniversary of Son La Province's Establishment, the Content and External Affairs Subcommittee has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue documents directing the implementation: Decision to complete the Organizing Committee of the 130th Anniversary of Son La Province's Establishment (October 10, 1895 - October 10, 2025) ; Decision to issue a Plan to organize and implement the Emulation Movement to celebrate the 130th Anniversary of Son La Province's Establishment (October 10, 1895 - October 10, 2025); issue a document to Vietnam Television requesting to broadcast the Anniversary live; Decision to complete and assign tasks to subcommittees assisting the Organizing Committee of the 130th Anniversary of Son La Province's Establishment (October 10, 1895 - October 10, 2025); draft Notice of assignment of tasks to members of the Organizing Committee; Completed the draft of the Celebration Program Framework; the framework of the art program to welcome the Celebration; completed the design of the diagram, location, and overall area of the activities within the framework of the Cultural Festival of Son La Province's Ethnic Groups at Tay Bac Square ; organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway Project, the section in Son La province; organize the launching of a literary and artistic composition contest with the theme "Son La 130 years of formation and development".

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Trang Thi Xuan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Content and External Affairs Subcommittee emphasized: The celebration of the 130th anniversary of the establishment of Son La province is an opportunity to promote the image of the mountains, rivers and people of Son La to domestic and foreign tourists. Requesting the members of the Subcommittee to closely follow the assigned plans and tasks to perform well in the areas they are responsible for; speed up   Progress of the plan for organizing the parade on the occasion of the 130th Anniversary of the Founding of Son La Province; connecting, consulting and sending documents to the Northern provinces and the Lao PDR to participate in displaying booths at the Celebration; organizing a full-package bidding to select an event organizer to carry out the contents of the 130th Anniversary of the Founding of Son La Province to ensure time and compliance with legal regulations; preparing facilities for displaying booths introducing achievements in socio-economic development; tourism products, safe agricultural products, OCOP products of Son La Province, arranging the premises, arranging OCOP booths to ensure common efficiency for all program activities.
