The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on May 22 in Hanoi with the participation of ministry leaders, experts and researchers.

Delegates in Hue attended online at the City People's Committee bridge, chaired by Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh.

Hue is the only ancient capital in Vietnam that still preserves the overall architecture of the citadel, palaces, mausoleums, temples... along with tens of thousands of extremely rare artifacts and antiques. Hue is the place where the wisdom of the whole nation converges, the peak of which is the 8 heritages honored by UNESCO. Along with that, the ancient capital of Hue is also home to memorial relics of President Ho Chi Minh , a system of extremely valuable revolutionary historical relics and hundreds of festivals, dozens of traditional craft villages, with majestic and poetic natural landscapes... forming a unique cultural feature.

From January 1, 2025, Hue will become a centrally-governed city, with the orientation of building and developing Hue as the first cultural heritage city of Vietnam. Therefore, in addition to preserving unique values ​​in the traditional way, Hue has gradually piloted, exploited and promoted according to the movement of the times with the spirit of "Hue is always new", "Hue rises with the new era of the nation".

According to Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh, the locality is always deeply aware of the value of traditional culture as a priceless asset left by previous generations for today's and future generations, not only having an important meaning in educating the younger generation about tradition, but also being an extremely important resource for the socio-economic development of the locality.

From management practice, Hue City believes that the internationalization of Vietnamese culture in general and Hue culture in particular has great significance in promoting and exploiting national values.

Many directional solutions have been proposed. These include exploiting and promoting domestic and international media channels and social networks; focusing on exploiting the unique cultural heritage values ​​of Hue, which are "unique" in terms of culture, people, and natural landscapes of Hue; strengthening propaganda and promoting the titles that have been honored such as Hue - ASEAN Cultural City, Festival City of Vietnam, ASEAN Clean Tourism City, national green city... as well as continuing to run for new titles such as UNESCO Creative City; focusing on spreading the noble human values ​​of Hue's cultural values ​​and Hue people to international friends not only through traditional receptions and diplomacy of local government leaders but also widely deployed to each facility and people, especially in the field of tourism services.

In addition, focus on expanding partnerships, moving towards and deepening relationships through signing and implementing international agreements in general, including in the field of cultural heritage in particular. Enriching bilateral and multilateral cultural and artistic exchange and cooperation activities with neighboring countries, countries in the ASEAN region and internationally through various forms. Hosting and coordinating the organization of international conferences, seminars, and National Tourism Year in Hue as well as in some localities across the country, or even abroad. Implementing Hue Festival activities according to the Four-Season Festival project, in which the highlight is the National Tourism Year, Hue International Arts Festival Week 2025, etc.
