According to the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management ( Ministry of Health ), to ensure safety and prevent unwanted incidents from occurring when crowds gather to participate in the National Day celebration event on September 2 (A80), the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management advises people as follows:

Before attending the event: People need to determine the appropriate time to attend, should not arrive too early from the previous afternoon; dress neatly and politely; wear shoes or sandals with back straps, avoid high heels, slippers. People should bring drinking water, snacks; bring lightweight accessories to protect against the sun and rain such as: umbrellas, hats, hand fans... At the same time, proactively monitor your health status to choose a suitable place to attend.

While attending the event: People should avoid jostling and pushing; do not get too excited, avoid arguing and screaming.

In particular, people should note that they can use the A80 App or observe and identify the nearest medical stations where they are standing to have a plan for themselves or those around them when there is a situation that requires medical care support.

The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment also provides guidance: In case of emergency, people need to stay calm, listen to the announcement from the authorities; do not panic, run, push; follow the instructions of security forces and guards. People need to follow the flow of people, maintain a steady posture, do not try to go against the flow of people; observe the exits, quickly leave the dangerous area.

In particular, in a situation where people are caught up in a crowd, they need to:

- Keep calm, don't scream in panic.

- Keep your hands in front of your chest to protect your lungs and avoid suffocation.

- Take short steps to follow the flow of people.

- Don't stop in the middle of the crowd.

- If you fall, try to protect your head, cover your head; bend over to protect vital organs; find a chance to stand up as soon as possible.

The Ministry of Health also reminded people to put safety first. If you feel unsafe, leave crowded areas immediately.
