On the evening of October 17, the event "Taste of Australia - BBQ Party 2024" took place at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hanoi. This is not just a culinary party, but also symbolizes the increasingly deep relationship between Australia and Vietnam, a friendship that is now strengthened through the upgrading of the relationship between the two countries to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP).

At the event, attendees had the opportunity to enjoy a variety of authentic Australian-style and flavoured barbecue dishes, expertly prepared by Tommy Pham and his team of top chefs. The dishes were accompanied by a wide range of fine wines from over 20 Australian wineries present at the event.

Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrew Goledzinowski said: "The Taste of Australia BBQ is a great opportunity for us to celebrate our shared tradition of coming together over food and drink, while strengthening the relationship between Australia and Vietnam."

Vietnamese-Australian chef Tommy Pham added: "This event not only reflects our Australian culinary culture but also the spirit of community and sharing that defines Australian culture. I feel very grateful to have the opportunity to bring Australian flavours to Hanoi ."

The Taste of Australia BBQ 2024 is more than just a culinary experience, it is a celebration of the enduring friendship between Australia and Vietnam. As our two countries embark on a new chapter in our relationship, events like this serve as a powerful reminder of our shared journey, shared aspirations and the bright future ahead.

During his visit to Australia in March this year, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese agreed to upgrade the Vietnam-Australia relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The two sides agreed to closely coordinate to implement six major directions to bring cooperation in all fields into greater depth, effectiveness and substance.
