This year's event brings together 56 countries, becoming a bridge between civilizations and a lively forum to promote the unique identity of each nation to the international community.
With 5 elaborately and meticulously invested booths, Vietnam's display area stands out among the colorful flags with the brilliant red of the national flag, along with the rustic charm of conical hats, silk paintings, and traditional ceramics.
Every artifact, every dish, every stroke of the pen in cultural publications speaks with pride about a Vietnam rich in identity, but always open to the world .
This is one of the key activities in a series of events celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Czech diplomatic relations and is also an opportunity to affirm Vietnam's active and proactive role in international cultural exchange. The event took place under the auspices of the Czech Senate and House of Representatives, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Prague 6 district government.
Like a silent yet enchanting messenger, Vietnamese cuisine has left a deep impression on the hearts of international diners.
The Vietnamese food stall has truly captivated thousands of visitors with its rustic dishes: from crispy fried spring rolls, sweet beef pho, to strong iced milk coffee and cool fresh coconut water.
Each dish is not only a delicate combination of ingredients and techniques, but also a story of region, tradition and humanity.
Local people and representatives of foreign embassies participated and enjoyed dishes at the Vietnamese booth. |
In particular, for the first time at an international festival in Europe, typical Vietnamese seafood products such as cuttlefish, whole squid, shelled and unshelled clams were widely introduced to Czech consumers and friends around the world.
The presence of these products not only affirms the quality and export value of Vietnamese agricultural and aquatic products, but also opens the door to sustainable trade cooperation with the potential European market.
Not only stopping at the taste, the Vietnamese booth is also a vibrant cultural space with unique folk art performances.
The vibrant sounds of traditional musical instruments and the soft dances imbued with national soul have contributed to enriching the memorable experiences for international visitors, creating a festive atmosphere that is both bustling and profound.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam emphasized: “The culinary culture festival is not only a place to introduce the quintessence of national cuisine, but also a valuable opportunity for Vietnam to promote the image of the country, people and cultural identity to international friends.
This is also a foundation for enhancing people-to-people exchanges, contributing to promoting mutual understanding between nations. The Vietnam-Czech relationship is growing stronger, especially after being upgraded to a strategic partnership in January 2025.
Cultural promotion activities this year will be a concrete and vivid bridge, contributing to realizing that relationship in a practical, effective and commensurate manner with the stature of the two countries."
Lukas Bezchleba, a Prague resident, expressed his love for Vietnamese culture: “I have traveled to Vietnam and have unforgettable memories of the cuisine here. Today, enjoying pho and fried spring rolls in the heart of Prague, I feel like I am returning to that land once again.”
Meanwhile, Violet, a Spanish student studying in the Czech Republic, excitedly said: “This is my first time attending this festival and I am really fascinated by the bustling atmosphere and cultural diversity here.
Vietnamese spring rolls are my favorite - crispy, flavorful and very special with the dipping sauce. I will definitely be coming back for more!”

At the Prague 2025 Food and Culture Festival, activities such as music performances, traditional dances, and handicraft displays created a colorful picture of the world, in which Vietnam appeared brilliantly with its rich identity and strong vitality.
The active and prominent participation of the Vietnamese Embassy at the event not only contributes to affirming the country's position in the international arena, but also strengthens the sustainable connection between the Vietnamese community and the host society, adding pride and motivation for Vietnamese culture to continue to spread across five continents.
