Chau Thanh district has 27 locations at risk of riverbank landslides.

(HG) - According to a recent survey by the functional sector of Chau Thanh district, there are currently 27 points in the district at risk of riverbank landslides, with an estimated total length of 74m and about 100 households living right at the landslide risk area affected. The landslide risk areas are concentrated in Dong Phuoc, Dong Phuoc A, Phu Huu, Phu Tan communes and Nga Sau town. Currently, the functional sector of Chau Thanh district has posted warning signs at the landslide risk areas so that people can take proactive measures.

The Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control requested Chau Thanh district to effectively implement response work to landslides and riverbank landslide risks according to the "4 on-site" motto.

In addition, relevant functional departments of Chau Thanh district coordinate with the Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue to prepare documents and propose solutions to solidly repair landslide sites and sites at risk of landslides to ensure safety in travel and stabilize people's lives.
