Hong Ngu District receives new rural district title and Provincial Party Committee Flag

DTO - The ceremony to announce the Prime Minister's decision to recognize Hong Ngu district as meeting new rural standards in 2024 and the decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to award the flag to the Hong Ngu district Party Committee for its excellent performance in the 2020-2025 term took place on the morning of June 28.

Attending the ceremony were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Quoc Phong; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Phan Van Thang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tran Tri Quang and former leaders of the province and Hong Ngu district through the periods.

Over the past 14 years, the Party Committee, government and people of Hong Ngu district have focused on mobilizing all resources to complete the National Target Program on New Rural Development. Up to now, the district has 9/9 communes meeting new rural standards, of which Long Thuan and Thuong Phuoc 1 communes have achieved advanced new rural standards, and Thuong Thoi Tien town has achieved civilized urban areas. The total mobilized capital is more than 4,000 billion VND, of which people have contributed money, donated land worth over 512 billion VND and labor days.

The Hong Ngu District Party Committee has 34 grassroots Party organizations, with a total of more than 3,900 Party members (an increase of 346 Party members compared to 2019), accounting for 3.27% of the population. In the 2020-2025 term, the Hong Ngu District Party Committee has determined to focus on implementing 7 key tasks and 2 breakthrough strategies and 10 targets set out in all political , economic - cultural - social and national defense and security fields. Up to now, the district has achieved and exceeded the tasks and targets set out in the Congress Resolution.

With the great efforts and determination of the entire political system, the Party Executive Committee of Hong Ngu district was assessed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee as having excellently completed its tasks for 5 consecutive years, from 2020 - 2024.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tran Tri Quang praised the outstanding achievements of Hong Ngu district in building new rural areas and Party building. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that building new rural areas continues to be identified as an important task, therefore, the local government after the merger needs to focus on promoting solidarity and efforts in the entire political system, mobilizing consensus and positive contributions from the business community and the people, and being determined to maintain the title with the goal of building a clean and strong Party organization, developing the socio -economy, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and 15 individuals who had outstanding achievements in building Hong Ngu district to meet new rural standards in 2024; at the same time, the Hong Ngu District People's Committee also rewarded many collectives and individuals.
