Ke Sach district takes good care of Khmer people

From the capital source of the National Target Program for Socio -Economic Development of Ethnic Minority Areas, in 2024, the district invested in the construction of 12 rural traffic works, supported residential land for 28 households, supported housing for 414 households, supported job conversion for 398 households; supported dispersed domestic water for 633 households, supported the construction of 12 production development models, and diversified livelihoods. In addition, Khmer people are also supported with loans to create jobs to develop production, open short-term vocational training classes for rural workers, support electricity bills, issue health insurance cards, and effectively implement policies for prestigious people among Khmer people. Along with that, in late 2024 and early 2025, the district implemented a program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, support the construction and repair of 176 houses of Khmer ethnic households, with an amount of more than 10 billion VND.

In addition, the district also pays special attention to and effectively implements the work of developing culture, education, and health care for the Khmer people, preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural identity of the Khmer people; connecting and creating great solidarity among ethnic groups in the district. To achieve this result, in addition to the timely attention and direction of the district, the current ethnic civil servants and the Khmer people have constantly strived and worked together with authorities from the district to the grassroots to effectively implement movements launched by the locality and implement effective economic models when the State deploys capital to households.

The Ethnic Boarding Secondary School in the district has been in operation since 2009, with full facilities, meeting the needs of teaching and learning, including boarding services, cafeterias, and sports areas for students after school hours. Thanks to the ethnic boarding school, ethnic students enjoy many preferential policies supported by the Party and the State, creating better conditions for students with difficult circumstances to go to school with peace of mind…”, Mr. Kiem Huol - Principal of Ke Sach District Ethnic Boarding Secondary School shared.

Comrade Cao Minh Thom - Vice Chairman of Ke Sach District People's Committee said that in order to continue to take good care of the material and spiritual life of Khmer households in the district, the district will speed up the implementation of programs and projects to invest in infrastructure construction, the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction, the National Target Program for New Rural Development, the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority Areas, as well as continue to implement social security policies well, thereby contributing to improving and further enhancing the material and spiritual life of people in the district, including the Khmer people.

At the same time, the district also hopes that the monks, venerable monks, cadres, soldiers, and all Khmer people in the district will continue to promote the tradition of great national unity; well implement the policies of the Party and the State, uphold the spirit of self-reliance, determination to overcome difficulties so that everyone and every family can have a better life. Actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, build new rural areas; strive to study to improve qualifications in all aspects. Continue to preserve and promote the national cultural identity, making the cultural and spiritual life of the people increasingly rich. Raise vigilance, fight against the "peaceful evolution" plot of hostile forces, contribute to maintaining political security, social order and safety in the district.
