On the evening of September 10, Krong Nang District Police coordinated with the People's Committee of Ea Ho Commune (Krong Nang District) to organize a firefighting and rescue drill at night at Fire Prevention and Fighting Inter-family Group No. 1 (Trung Ho Village, Ea Ho Commune). This is one of eight Fire Prevention and Fighting Inter-family Groups in the district.
Inter-family group No. 1 has 6 houses combined with production and business. The families in the group all trade in flammable goods such as: packaging, fabric, children's toys, groceries, etc.

Each family is equipped with a portable fire extinguisher and some tools such as pliers, sledgehammers, crowbars, etc.; all have a fire alarm, linked together, when one household rings the alarm, all other households receive the signal.

The hypothetical situation is that at 7:00 p.m. on day x, month y, year z, a fire broke out at Nguyen Chanh Trong's business (Trung Ho village, Ea Ho commune) with an area of about 60 m2 . The initial cause of the fire was determined to be that in the morning of the same day, while counting goods, Mr. Trong turned on the wall fan to cool down but then forgot to turn it off.
Due to the old fan and continuous operation, it was overloaded, the motor overheated, the outer plastic shell burned, the melted plastic fell and caught the goods, creating a large fire.

When the fire broke out, there were 2 people in the house (Mr. Trong was in the living room and his wife was in the bedroom).
Mr. Trong's wife saw the smoke and fire, so she quickly shouted "fire, fire, fire" and ran to the back of the house to find an escape route because the front door was a locked roller shutter, the electrical system was cut off so it could not be opened. When Mr. Trong heard his wife report the fire, he quickly ran back to press the fire alarm of the Inter-family Group to alert and call for help from the neighbors.
Due to the huge amount of smoke and toxic gas coming from the fire, and the panic, Mr. Trong and his wife could not find the key to escape and were trapped in the fire. The situation was very dangerous.

As soon as the alarm was sounded, members of the Fire Safety Team No. 1 used fire extinguishers available in the house to quickly approach the scene, put out the fire, and prevent it from spreading; used hammers, crowbars, and pliers to break the door to rescue people and move goods out, and at the same time called the Fire Police force.

After receiving the news, Ea Ho Commune Police quickly arrived at the scene to coordinate with other local forces to promptly handle the fire; support people in taking the victims to the emergency room. Just a few minutes later, with the efforts of the people and functional forces, the fire was quickly completely extinguished.
Immediately after the fire prevention and rescue drill, Krong Nang District Police, Ea Ho Commune People's Committee and related units held a meeting to discuss and draw lessons.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc An, Deputy Head of Krong Nang District Police, assessed that although it was only a fire prevention and rescue practice, the members of the grassroots fire prevention and rescue team and the local fire fighting force all had a serious demeanor, a high sense of discipline, and a high sense of responsibility.
Through the practice session, it aims to raise awareness of fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue work when fire, explosion, accidents and incidents occur in inter-family groups and residential areas, limiting the risk of causing serious damage to people and property; enhancing the ability to be on duty, ready to respond and handle fire, explosion, accident and incident situations of the grassroots fire prevention and fighting force; improving combat readiness and coordination between forces participating in fire fighting and search and rescue in the area in handling fire and explosion situations in inter-family groups, densely populated areas and places with large crowds.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Plan Practice and Rescue at the Fire Prevention and Rescue Safety Inter-Family Teams was directed by the Ministry of Public Security to be implemented nationwide to raise awareness and skills in handling situations for members of the "Fire Prevention and Rescue Safety Inter-Family Teams" in particular and people across the country in general, thereby contributing to preventing large fires, spreading fires and minimizing damage to people and property in residential areas, families...
