Having been in business for more than two decades, since September 5, 2021, Ms. Lan, the owner of the fresh milk shop, has cleaned up and returned the premises to an acquaintance. Talking about the reason for stopping selling, the owner said that the shop is a family business, the fresh milk comes from a relative's cow farm. The Covid-19 pandemic has been prolonged, the family has raised cows for many years and now has to downsize, there are no cows at the farm so Ms. Lan also stopped selling milk.

The shop is located on Phung Khac Khoan Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), quite small but when it was still open, it was always crowded with customers. Customers sat all over the street, forcing her to constantly remind them to "sit closer".

Nostalgic milk tea shop

In mid-2024, the famous Minus 18 Degrees Celsius milk tea shop in Ho Chi Minh City located on Vo Van Tan Street (District 3) announced that it would close after 19 years of operation, leaving many people disappointed. On its official fanpage, the shop expressed:

“After 19 years, now the Vietnamese market in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, are too familiar with milk tea, and the shop Am 18 Degrees C would like to withdraw from the game... Yes, around June, we will stop operating, thank you very much to our customers for accompanying us on this narrow road.

This is not a goodbye, we will be open until mid-June, this is just a thank you to our customers. We look forward to serving you until we close. Thank you!".

This milk tea shop is called "legendary" by many generations of students in Ho Chi Minh City because it is associated with the days of going to school, coming here to eat, drink, and study together with countless memories.

After the announcement of the closure, the shop was packed with customers, and at one point had to stop accepting customers because the tables were full. However, after the farewell, on June 29, the milk tea shop posted a post announcing its current situation and hinting at its return.

Also on this day, the shop's fanpage posted an article "marking" the first official online sale day. After that, the shop announced that it would operate online. The fact that this "legendary" milk tea brand continues to operate also makes many people feel very happy.

Noodle soup "1 hour"

"Banh canh will stop selling from May 30, 2025. Thank you to all customers who have supported banh canh in the past time!" Most recently, the announcement of a famous banh canh restaurant that only sells for 1 hour in Ho Chi Minh City shocked many diners.

This restaurant located at 12C Nguyen Phi Khanh Street (District 1) is considered a "culinary legend" in Ho Chi Minh City, having been serving customers for decades. The restaurant is owned by 5 sisters, who work together to maintain this restaurant.

Sharing the reason for closing, the restaurant said that due to old age, the members of the restaurant were not healthy enough to maintain operations. During the last days of operation, the restaurant was so crowded that many people had to arrive an hour early to wait for food and when it started serving, after only 15 minutes, it stopped accepting customers.

Hot&Cold and school memories

Hot&Cold, a famous milk tea and skewer brand that has been around since 2011, has just announced the closure of all its branches, which has shocked many customers because this is a place that has been associated with many generations of students not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also in many provinces and cities in Vietnam.

"Farewells are always choked up and difficult to say. But today, we have to say goodbye. Over the past 14 years, this is the most difficult letter Hot&Cold has ever sent to you. Today, with all our respect, we would like to announce: Hot&Cold will stop operating, officially ending its journey on June 30, 2025," the shop wrote emotionally in its closing announcement.

The reason this milk tea shop is considered a "culinary legend" in Ho Chi Minh City is because it was born in the first stage, when the milk tea market was new and not yet saturated. From a small shop, Hot&Cold has grown to more than 65 branches nationwide, at times reaching more than 80 locations - present in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Can Tho, My Tho, Ben Tre , Da Nang... The brand has sold billions of cups of milk tea and become part of the memories of many generations of customers.

"I remember when I had my semester exams, I came here every day with my best friend to study," Tran Huu Tai, nicknamed, recalled memories of the shop. Phan Anh expressed: "Our student days were all associated with this place. It's been a long time since we've been here, I miss it so much!", Ngoc Ngan reminisced.

Besides, many other familiar brands such as Alo Tra milk tea, Ten Ren milk tea, Comebuy milk tea, April Tea Shop... have also said goodbye to Ho Chi Minh City diners over the years after a long time of attachment.
