Vyacheslav Gordeev, one of the legends of Russian ballet history and a former star of the Bolshoi Theatre. He expressed his pride in bringing to Vietnam the ballet Swan Lake - an immortal symbol of Russian and world ballet art.

The ballet "Swan Lake" is an immortal symbol of Russian and world ballet art.
The Moscow State Ballet, one of Russia's most prestigious ballet companies, under his artistic direction staged a critically acclaimed version of Swan Lake . This classic ballet is always a "sold-out" production in most countries it has visited. The company has performed for audiences in more than 40 countries and territories, not only Swan Lake but also many other famous works such as The Nutcracker and Romeo and Juliette.
Sharing with VTC News, artist Vyacheslav Gordeev emotionally shared: "We are very proud to be standing here, at the Ho Guom Theater, in Vietnam to perform and introduce the quintessence of our ballet art to the Vietnamese audience. We are also proud of where we come from. Vietnam and the former Soviet Union, the Russian Federation today, have a long and close history, very special".
People's Artist Vyacheslav Gordeev, Director of the Moscow State Ballet Theatre.
He also said that compared to excerpts from Swan Lake that some Russian artists have performed in Vietnam, this time, the artists of the Moscow State Ballet are proud to bring a complete performance of all four acts of the classic ballet, depicting the beauty of the gentle, graceful swans gliding on the lake.
This is a rare opportunity for Vietnamese audiences to enjoy the full exemplary beauty of the work, especially through the performance of talented artists with skillful techniques from Russia.
Musically , artist Vyacheslav Gordeev decided to keep the immortal melodies of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. However, he also adjusted the duration of the play to better suit the tastes of modern audiences.
"Tchaikovsky's music is basically kept the same, only slightly changed to suit the present. However, I adjusted the play's duration to 2 hours (the original was 3.5 hours), cut out a part, and connected part 1 with part 3. This causes difficulties for the artists because they have to change costumes and makeup faster, but for the audience it will be more enjoyable," People's Artist Vyacheslav Gordeev shared.

'Swan Lake' tells the eternal love story of Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette.
Mr. Vyacheslav Gordeev added that initially, ballet was considered an art for the aristocracy, but over time, ballet became closer to the public, even overcoming cultural and religious barriers.
He assessed that the journey of bringing Swan Lake to Vietnam is a cultural bridge connecting Vietnam and Russia, where those who are passionate about art and love Russian culture can immerse themselves in the pure beauty of classical ballet, fully enjoying a timeless masterpiece.
With the desire to enhance the cultural experience for Vietnamese people, Vingroup and the Moscow State Ballet bring two nights of Swan Lake performances at the Ho Guom Theater on April 11 and 12, promising to be a special cultural event, giving Vietnamese audiences the opportunity to admire one of the greatest ballet works of all time.
