Five years after the release of his debut film "The Blind Sorcerer", director and actor Huynh Lap continues to reveal another film project, "The Ancestral House".

The theme that Huynh Lap chose for his second movie is family.

Talking about the decision to choose 2024 to release “The Ancestor’s House”, Huynh Lap said that right after releasing “The Blind Sorcerer”, he had been thinking about making the next movie. However, because he wanted to bring quality works with the most unique colors, exploiting new perspectives to the public, Huynh Lap spent 4-5 years to find a suitable theme and an attractive story, then completed the story of “The Ancestor’s House”.

With “Ancestral House”, Huynh Lap still maintains the spiritual element, but in a different way of telling the story. He chose the image of a house to pose a question to the audience: Why do we have to preserve this ancestral house together? Why do we have to hold a memorial service for the deceased every year… And all of these questions will be explained by Huynh Lap and his crew in the movie that will be released in December 2024.
