iOS 26 unexpectedly reveals 3 new Apple devices coming soon

Following the keynote at the WWDC 2025 Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple has officially released the first developer beta of iOS 26.

While many new features have been introduced, Apple often drops hints about future products in the source code of its operating system. Just days after the first beta was released, several publications have discovered three new products that could soon be introduced to Apple users.

First, Macworld journalist Filipe Espósito discovered references in iOS 26 code that suggest AirTag 2 could be coming. Espósito also noted that there are “under-the-hood changes to how the AirTag management system works,” along with Apple expected to make greater use of Extended Precision Finding technology to allow for locating the new devices up to 60 meters away.

Next, MacRumors has found information about the upcoming AirPods Pro 3. Code in iOS 26 mentions this new wireless headphone model, while Apple currently only offers AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro 2. While MacRumors was unable to provide details on the new features, recent rumors suggest there are at least eight functions that users can expect to be added.

Finally, 9to5Mac has discovered references in the Xcode 26 beta to a lower-cost version of the Apple Vision Pro. In Apple’s testing platform, the company differentiates between the 4K resolution of the Vision Pro and a resolution closer to that of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. This suggests that the leak of the lower-resolution Vision device could indicate that a launch is imminent.

So far, these are the three products that Apple has accidentally revealed through its source code. As the company continues to release new beta versions, users can expect to hear more about upcoming products and features.
