iPhone price reduced up to 3 million VND

Many generations of iPhones have been discounted, including newly launched models like the iPhone 16e, which is considered an opportunity for users to "buy the bottom" on Apple's smartphone models.

In May, mobile systems all adjusted iPhone prices to attract more users during the low shopping season. Specifically, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 had the deepest price reduction of 3 million VND, while the iPhone 13 model was recorded for the first time below 11 million VND, down to the same level as many mid-range Android smartphones currently on the market.

According to some authorized dealers, the price of the standard version of iPhone 14 (128 GB) is currently over 12 million VND, while the price of iPhone 15 is over 15 million VND. One of the leading major distribution systems even posted an advertisement with the content "This is the first time this price is available!", showing that the iPhone has dropped to the lowest price ever recorded.

Not only are the old generation iPhone models discounted, even the iPhone 16e, which was launched not long ago, has had its price rebalanced to be more attractive to customers.

The iPhone's deep price reduction in the second quarter of the year is something many people have predicted in advance.

The change has yielded positive results as some retailers reported that sales of the device showed signs of growth despite being in the second quarter, the slowest time of the year for the mobile industry. A representative of an Apple Authorized Reseller (AAR) in Vietnam said that the basic models of previous years such as the iPhone 13, 14, and 15 had sales that increased by 2 to 2.5 times compared to the time before the adjustment. This helped these devices increase their contribution to the Apple device portfolio in the business system.

Notably, the price reduction of the iPhone 13 and the positive feedback from users show that this will soon replace the popularity of the iPhone 11, the phone model that has been "storming" the shelves since falling into the mid-range price segment, continuously occupying high sales rankings in mobile business systems.

In addition, the flagship launched in September last year by "apple" such as iPhone 16 Pro Max also dropped below 30 million VND at some businesses, not including other incentives and support. The standard version of iPhone 16 also fluctuates around 18 million VND. These are all low prices for this generation of devices and according to market observers and business people, the iPhone price reduction this time may be the "bottom" and it is difficult to go deeper in the near future.

"The next stimulus period will be 'Back to School', the time to welcome students back to school. But usually, sellers only increase accompanying incentives, with little direct impact on selling prices," said an expert. Right after this period, the market will prepare for an adjustment and possibly reduce the price of iPhones on shelves after Apple officially introduces the next generation iPhone in mid-September, expected to go on sale in late September, early October in Vietnam.

However, the price reduction of iPhone for the period of September and October may not be much and users will have less chance to own the iPhone 16 Pro duo, because this product line is likely to stop being sold at the Apple Store and will only have limited quantity (in stock) at authorized dealers or small retail stores. Every year, after launching a new iPhone, Apple will remove the Pro series from the business catalog on the homepage, leaving only the regular version and the Plus version.
