Iran launches missiles, sending a warning message to the US.

A video shared by Iranian state media (IRIB) on June 1 claimed to show the country's missile launches, accompanied by a warning message to Washington.

This move comes shortly after intense firefights between the two countries over the weekend. The conflict flared up again as US President Donald Trump reiterated his demands for revisions to the draft agreement aimed at extending the current ceasefire in the region.

Iran sent a message, "Until the last American soldier leaves the region," to assert its core strategic objectives and shape the political and military landscape in the Middle East.

Currently, CNN reports that it has not been able to independently verify the exact location and time this video was filmed.

US launches airstrikes on Iran, Israel heavily bombs Lebanon.

The situation in the Middle East is becoming more tense as the US War Department and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) simultaneously launched attacks targeting Iranian and Hezbollah forces in Lebanon, plunging the region into a new spiral of escalation.

The US military announced it had bombed radar positions and drone stations on the Iranian island of Qeshm and the port city of Goruk over the weekend. At the same time, the IDF launched a new wave of airstrikes targeting the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

In retaliation, Tehran launched a barrage of missiles and drones targeting US military bases in Kuwait. The US War Department stated that air defenses in Kuwait successfully intercepted two Iranian cruise missiles aimed at US soldiers.

The attack occurred shortly after CBS News revealed that four U.S. soldiers and three civilian contractors were injured in an earlier Iranian cruise missile strike on a U.S. air base in Kuwait.

In Lebanon, the IDF announced it had gained complete control of the strategic Beaufort Ridge – the deepest advance by the Israeli army into Lebanese territory in over 26 years.

Fierce fighting continues in southern Lebanon. On June 1st, the IDF ordered an emergency evacuation of residents in the Dahiyeh district, a southern suburb of Beirut, accompanied by a warning: "If Hezbollah forces continue to fire rockets at Israeli cities and towns, the IDF will respond by targeting objectives south of Dahiyeh."

The repeated military clashes are deepening mistrust between Washington and Tehran, pushing the ceasefire agreement established on April 8th to the brink of collapse.

The semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on June 1 that Iran had suspended talks with the United States in protest against Israel's military actions in Lebanon.

Kuwait and the Gulf region strongly condemn Iran.

Iran's attack triggered a wave of fierce protests from Gulf nations. On June 1, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry strongly condemned "Iran's repeated attacks" amid the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) firing missiles at bases they alleged were the launch sites of the bombing of Sirik Island.

The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry stated on social media platform X that the Iranian attacks constituted "a dangerous escalation, a direct violation of the security and stability of the State of Kuwait."

The statement emphasized that this constitutes a serious violation of international law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817 of 2026, and poses a direct threat to the lives of citizens and essential national infrastructure.

Kuwait claims the right to "take any measures necessary to maintain its security and protect its territory."

On the same day, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), strongly condemned the attack, calling it a “dangerous escalation” that undermines efforts to maintain stability.

He called on the international community and the UN Security Council to take a firm, deterrent stance. Al-Budaiwi affirmed that the GCC countries remain united and fully support all measures taken by Kuwait to protect its sovereignty.

Under pressure from the Arab bloc, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei argued that Tehran was merely exercising its legitimate right to retaliate against bases and assets in the region used in attacks against the country.

"States have a clear legal obligation not to allow their territory or property to be used to invade other countries," Baghaei wrote on social media platform X.

Amjad Hussein Panahi, a senior official of the Iranian Kurdish party (Komala party), stated: "Since the start of the war with the US and Israel, Iran has targeted Komala bases and headquarters with more than 81 missiles and drones."

According to the Rudaw Media Network in the Kurdish autonomous region of northern Iraq, the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK) – another Iranian-backed opposition group based in Iraq – also confirmed that one of its bases near Erbil was hit by an Iranian cruise missile last Sunday.
