According to Al Jazeera on August 17, the Zeitoun, Sabra, Remal and Tuffah neighborhoods of Gaza City have suffered severe consequences from Israeli bombardments in recent days, forcing tens of thousands of Palestinians to evacuate.
Israel's plan to forcibly relocate Palestinians to southern Gaza will increase human suffering, a spokesman for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said.

Thousands of families have reportedly fled Zeitoun, which was severely damaged in the days-long attacks. At least seven people were killed on August 17 when an Israeli airstrike hit the al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City.
"Zeitoun is a densely populated neighbourhood, home to many families, including those who were sheltering there. People were frightened when the heavy shelling and air strikes began. Some stayed. Others began to leave. As the violence escalated, many were forced to evacuate," said Al Jazeera correspondent Hind Khoudary.
Also on August 17, the Israeli army said tents and tent-setting equipment would be provided to Palestinians who have been displaced multiple times during the 22-month conflict.
Last week, Israel announced plans to move deeper into Gaza City and relocate residents south, despite international opposition.
On August 17, 57 more Palestinians, including 38 who were waiting for aid, were killed in the Israeli attack, bringing the total number of victims killed since the conflict broke out in October 2023 to nearly 62,000.
