Prime Minister Netanyahu said that 20 hostages were definitely alive in Gaza. Netanyahu laid out the conditions for ending the war: the release of all captives, the disarming of Hamas, the exile of its leaders and the possibility of implementing a plan outlined by US President Donald Trump in February to expel Palestinians from Gaza.

At the same time, Mr. Netanyahu stressed that Israel should avoid a humanitarian crisis to protect its freedom of action, referring to Israel's decision to allow a very limited number of humanitarian aid trucks into Gaza.

He also referred to a much-criticized plan “developed with the United States” to distribute food in the enclave without Hamas control. However, the Palestinian group denies receiving aid.
