According to Reuters, on April 12, Italy's Garante data protection agency issued a list of specific requirements that OpenAI must meet by April 30 to address concerns about the ChatGPT chatbot application.
Accordingly, OpenAI is required to inform users about the data processing methods necessary for ChatGPT to operate, allowing users to edit or delete inaccurate personal information... If the requirements are met, the Italian authorities will suspend the temporary restrictions and ChatGPT will once again be accessible in the country.
Previously, on March 31, OpenAI was forced to suspend ChatGPT in Italy after Garante temporarily restricted and began investigating the application due to suspected violations of privacy rules.
