ITE HCMC 2025 aims for sustainable tourism with immersive experiences

Aiming to optimize the experience for visitors, the handicraft, coffee, folk art experience areas... will create unique cultural highlights along with technology application booths.

“ITE HCMC 2025 will pioneer in encouraging businesses and localities to focus on introducing unique, distinctive tourism products with vivid experiences that impress international buyers towards Vietnam as a destination in the near future.”

Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa shared this when introducing the Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair - ITE HCMC 2025 (taking place from September 4-6, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City), within the framework of a press conference in Hanoi , this morning, April 11.

Engaging with vivid experiences

Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa said: “ITE HCMC 2025 with the theme Sustainable travel, vibrant experience is expected to be a model for the breakthrough and creativity of Vietnam's tourism industry in a period of turbulence in global economic sectors, in which the tourism industry is a bridge for tourism associations and domestic tourism businesses to unanimously improve competitiveness and create the attractiveness of Vietnam tourism compared to other countries in the region as well as in the international tourism market.”

Explaining the choice of name for this year's theme, the representative of the organizing committee emphasized that "Sustainable Tourism" is a strong commitment to sustainable development with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as closely linked to the sustainability criteria of the World Tourism Organization.

Meanwhile, “Vivid Experience” is the highlight of ITE HCMC 2025 this time. According to the Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, ITE HCMC 2025 will have many innovations and creativity, bringing many breakthrough solutions, opening up great opportunities for the development of Vietnam tourism through interesting and useful activities. “Vivid Experience” conveys the message about the attractiveness of destinations in Vietnam as well as unique tourism products in line with new trends of global tourism.

“ITE HCMC 2025 is expected to have 16 main activities connecting trade, forums, conferences, seminars and besides domestic media units, there will also be the participation of 60 international newspapers, travel bloggers and KOLs in the tourism sector, this number increases by 30% compared to 2024,” Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa informed.

Aiming to optimize the experience for visitors, functional areas, areas for tourism management agencies of provinces and cities, domestic and international enterprises will be arranged systematically and reasonably. In particular, local experience areas such as handicrafts, coffee, folk art, etc. will create unique cultural highlights for the fair.

In addition to traditional live exhibitions, during the fair, ITE HCMC 2025 will pioneer the application of technology when arranging 2D online booths to meet the increasing needs of exhibitors and international trade visitors. These booths provide full information and images of products and services of exhibitors with many outstanding features: live chat, email, appointment scheduling, helping international Buyers and exhibitors easily find suitable partners.

Notably, ITE HCMC organizes a 3D Virtual tour booth and will maintain it online for a year, to create opportunities for Buyers to continue connecting and negotiating with Sellers after the fair, while introducing new buyers to the online fair, expanding the network of cooperation and trade.

The meeting point of 12,600 business meetings

The representative of the organizing committee said that ITE HCMC 2025 is expected to attract more than 520 exhibitors, 50 Vietnamese localities and 240 high-end buyers from more than 30 countries and territories (up 10% compared to 2024); along with more than 28,000 visitors (up 12% compared to 2024); contributing to creating 12,600 business appointments (B2B Meetings) (up 10% compared to 2024) for direct exchange and contact between international and Vietnamese tourism businesses.

In particular, from September 3-6, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will host the 12th General Assembly of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Global Cities (TPO) in 2025 with the theme "Shaping the Future of Tourism: Embracing Digital and Green Transformation".

The TPO General Assembly is an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to expand business cooperation opportunities, promote tourism and local economy through training, promotion and connection programs within the TPO framework; contribute to stimulating demand for services serving business tourism combined with conferences and is an opportunity for Vietnamese localities to introduce and promote destinations to international businesses and press.

This is also an opportunity for Vietnam to promote effective and cost-saving on-site destination marketing; contribute to strengthening diplomatic relations; promote international cooperation in tourism development policies, connect with key markets; access professional knowledge from international tourism experts, connect with international tourism organizations such as the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) to update new trends.

Named “Asia's Best Trade Show” at the 2024 World MICE Awards, ITE HCMC is the only travel fair in Vietnam with an International Buyers program, playing an important role in promoting the flow of international tourists to Vietnam.

Not only is it a bridge for trade between businesses, contributing to stimulating demand for tourism services, and an opportunity for Vietnamese localities to introduce and promote their destinations to international businesses and press, the fair is also an in-depth forum, a place to update new trends and share important knowledge about the development of the tourism industry./.
