Jackson's dream of going to Bayern is broken

Bayern Munich have decided not to continue pursuing the loan deal for striker Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea, looking for other replacement targets.

Jackson has expressed his desire to leave Chelsea to seek more regular playing opportunities.

According to Sky Sports , Bayern Munich have cancelled Jackson's loan deal, and the player will fly back to Senegal to join the national team. Jackson will not fly back to Germany after the September international break.

The Bundesliga club made the decision after Chelsea unexpectedly pulled out of a loan deal at the last minute due to Liam Delap's injury in the 2-0 win over Fulham on August 30. Delap is expected to be out for six to eight weeks with a hamstring injury, leaving Chelsea unable to let Jackson leave, with only striker Joao Pedro remaining in the squad.

For his part, Jackson was unhappy when the deal to join Bayern Munich fell through at the last minute. Initially, he even refused to fly back to London to join Chelsea, hoping that the English club would let him leave.

However, with Bayern Munich cancelling their loan deal with Chelsea, the Senegal international will have to find another way out or return to Stamford Bridge after the September international break. Previously, Bayern Munich reached an agreement to loan Jackson for a season, with an option to buy for up to €80 million.

The deal includes a €15m upfront fee for a season-long loan, plus a €65m fixed fee, with Chelsea gaining a buy-back clause if Bayern exercise their option to buy Jackson at the end of the season. Jackson then flew to Munich to undergo a medical and sign the contract.
