TV series received good feedback
Jung Hae In is currently a name receiving great attention on Korean screens with the male lead role in the TV series "Love Next Door" of tvN channel.
“Love Next Door” is a romantic comedy that tells the tumultuous love story between Bae Seok Ryu (Jung So Min), a woman trying to rebuild her flawed life, and Choi Seung Hyo (Jung Hae In), the son of her mother's friend.
In the film, Jung Hae In's character is a perfect son in appearance, personality and ability. He is a talented young architect and CEO of an architectural firm.
According to Flix Patrol, an online content service (OTT) ranking site, “Love Next Door” scored 458 points and ranked 4th in the category of Netflix's most popular TV series globally on August 19.
The film topped six countries and territories, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Thailand, Taiwan (China) and Vietnam; and entered the Top 10 in 74 countries, including South Korea and Japan.
Previously, at the film's press conference, directors Yoo Je Won and Jung Hae In expressed their hope that "Love Next Door" could surpass the rating of 10%, continuing the success of recent hit films released on tvN such as "Queen of Tears", "You Go Marry My Husband"...
As expected, "Love Next Door" started with a rating of 4.9% and 6% for episodes 1-2. This is a very positive number, showing the reception of the domestic public.
Jung Hae In also added to the curiosity when he shared: “This is my first time acting in a true romantic comedy.
My previous works were romantic and dark, but this time there are more comedic elements.
I laughed so much while filming that I wondered if I had ever laughed so much on set. There were situations so funny that I was thanking the author for writing this story while acting."
Movies are expected to explode in sales.
On August 20, Jung Hae In continued to attract attention when he attended the press conference to launch the movie "Veteran: I, the Executioner" in Seoul.
This is a thrilling crime action film about veteran detective Seo Do Chul (Hwang Jung Min), who relentlessly chases bad guys.
He teams up with rookie detective Park Sun Woo (Jung Hae In) to chase down a serial killer who caused a disaster.
Director Ryu Seung Wan praised Jung Hae In's near-perfect action performance: "I would give him 9.99/10 points. I only deducted 0.01 because he was too fast.
There were times when I had to ask him to slow down because his movements were so fast. In one scene, his technique was so effective that the opponent almost lost his breath.
I told him: “Why are you doing that? This is a movie, you have to act.”
His body was like a rock. When I touched Jung Hae In's arm, I was shocked. I realized that he managed himself very well. Although his dedication and training were commendable, his intense concentration sometimes made me subtract that 0.01.”
Previously, "Veteran 2", a rare Korean film, was invited to this year's Cannes Film Festival, in the non-competitive Midnight Screenings category.
The film follows the 2015 release of “Veteran” (starring Hwang Jung Min and Yoo Ah In) – a box office blockbuster that sold more than 13 million tickets, becoming one of the highest-grossing films in Korean cinema history.
“Veteran 2” will be officially released on September 13.
