This is Kenny G's second visit to Vietnam since his successful tour in 2015. He returns to Hanoi after 8 years as the opening act for the Good Morning Vietnam project series, jointly organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper and IBGroup, which will take place at the My Dinh National Convention Center on November 14th.
Kenny G is coming to Vietnam with six band members and ten crew members. During their time in Hanoi, the group will stay at a five-star hotel near the performance venue. Kenny G himself will be staying in the Presidential Suite – typically reserved for heads of state, celebrities, and the super-rich.

Kenny G's entire entourage was insured by an international company. Mr. Nguyen Thuy Duong, Chairman of IB Group Vietnam and Production Director of the Kenny G Live In Vietnam program, revealed that Kenny G's team provided the Vietnamese organizers with a nearly 60-page list detailing arrangements for accommodation, transportation, sound equipment, and stage setup, ensuring the quality of the performance and the artist's satisfaction. Kenny G's schedule was also kept strictly confidential.
He traveled in a luxury car with a private driver who was knowledgeable about the culture and cuisine and could answer any of Kenny G's questions in English. Kenny G maintained the same technical requirements he had set eight years prior to his performance in Vietnam.

However, some of the BTC equipment had to be ordered from overseas to meet the artist's very high demands for sound and instruments, ensuring they harmonized with the 63-year-old artist's saxophones.
Therefore, BTC rented two Yamaha PM5DRH version 2.25 mixers (sound mixing systems) in Japan months in advance, one for the band and one for the audience – at a rental cost of over $30,000. The percussion instruments were LP Galaxy models, mostly crafted from wood and capable of producing a realistic, warm, and rich sound, specifically designed for Latin and R&B music, with a rental cost equivalent to that of the mixers.
The drum set, from Yamaha's "Phoenix" series, was purchased by the organizers from the US for approximately $30,000. In addition, Kenny G requested a Yamaha C7 series piano with cables and a suitable sound source of his choosing. Kenny G also requested Hercules stands and mounts specifically for his two Selmer Mark VI harmonicas.
Furthermore, before coming to Vietnam, Kenny G's team sent detailed diagrams of the stage setup and platform construction, ensuring accuracy down to the centimeter. Before the show, Kenny G's manager will conduct an inspection to ensure the concert runs perfectly, meeting the artist's requirements and international standards with flawless sound.

BTC announced that in this show, Kenny G will perform famous songs such as: Going Home, The Joy of Life, Forever in Love, Sentimental, By the Time This Night Is Over, Songbird, Havana, The Moment, My Heart Will Go On… but in completely new versions.
In addition, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy a familiar folk song for the first time, performed by the legendary trumpet player Kenny G. The organizers have suggested the songs: "Trong Com," "Beo Dat May Troi," and "Nguoi Oi Nguoi O Dung Ve" for Kenny G to arrange into smooth jazz.
However, which song the artist will choose to play remains a secret to surprise Vietnamese audiences on the night of November 14th.
BTC revealed that in addition to playing music, Kenny G will donate a saxophone that he cherishes to be auctioned off for charity, knowing that the program's purpose is philanthropy. All proceeds will be donated by Nhan Dan Newspaper to funds supporting disadvantaged people, especially children.
