Extend the exhibition period.

The exhibition showcasing the nation's achievements, themed "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness," opened on August 28th at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh commune, Hanoi ). According to the initial plan, the exhibition was scheduled to run until September 5th.

However, to meet the needs and aspirations of the people and to allow them more time to visit and experience the Exhibition of National Achievements commemorating the 80th anniversary of National Day, the Prime Minister requested the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to assess the actual situation and the number of visitors. A report should be submitted to the Prime Minister regarding the possibility of extending the exhibition by 10 to 15 days compared to the original plan.

Given the large number of visitors in recent days, extending the exhibition's duration would create more opportunities for people to visit and experience the event, thereby spreading the message about Vietnam's 80-year journey of construction and development.

According to the Exhibition organizers, in just three days of free admission (August 28-30), the Exhibition of National Achievements themed "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" welcomed over 1.18 million visitors, and this number continues to increase in the following days.

People want the exhibition to last longer.

Reporters' observations at the exhibition over the past few days show that many people have expressed a desire for the National Achievements Exhibition to be extended, instead of the closing ceremony as originally planned on the evening of September 5th.

Given the appeal of the ongoing exhibition, many people wish it could be extended to give more opportunities for those who live far away or who missed the recent, crowded exhibition to visit and experience it.

Sharing her thoughts on visiting the exhibition, teacher Nguyen Thi Thu Huong (Thu Lam commune, Hanoi) said: "The exhibition is incredibly grand and vast. I've often passed by the exhibition area since it was under construction, but I didn't realize how large and meaningful the exhibits were. Seeing the exhibits here makes me very proud of Vietnam and its people."

"All the areas are fascinating, engaging the public and giving us a fairly comprehensive overview of the 80-year journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness, just as the theme of this year's exhibition suggests," Ms. Huong expressed.

Ms. Huong added: "But to be honest, the exhibition is so vast that we couldn't see everything in half a day, nor could we fully experience the spaces of the 34 provinces and cities. So we really hope the exhibition will be extended so we can come here again, and I will also introduce my students, friends, and relatives to come."

Journalist and writer Nguyen Xuan Thuy (Military Arts and Literature Magazine) shared: "The general impression of the exhibition '80 Years - The Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness' is that it is quite grand, overwhelming, with highlights, an overview and details, and a focus on cultural elements."

"Given the meticulous preparation, I think the event should be extended, and ideally, it could even be organized as an extracurricular activity at the beginning of the school year for students from nearby areas," suggested writer Nguyen Xuan Thuy.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tuong ( from Hai Phong ) shared about the not-so-easy journey from Hai Phong to visit the Exhibition. He was quite surprised and proud of the massive scale of the exhibition, as well as the beautiful spaces and unique characteristics of each locality. At the Exhibition, he enjoyed many cultural programs, new experiences, and was fascinated by the array of military equipment on display.

"At each booth and each space, I wanted to examine everything carefully because it's not easy to have the opportunity to attend an exhibition with so much meaningful and attractive content like this. However, because of that, I couldn't see everything in the afternoon. I also shared this information with my relatives, and they also wanted to arrange to visit the exhibition, so I really wish the exhibition could be extended," Mr. Tuong shared.

Besides expressing his wish for the exhibition to be extended, like many others, Mr. Tuong also had some suggestions: "I also hope that the authorities will manage traffic flow more conveniently, and that the organizers will arrange more space and chairs for people to rest because, with such a large area, many people get quite tired walking around."

Reportedly, each day at the Exhibition featured many unique cultural and artistic activities and experiences for visitors, such as free film screenings, art performances, robot demonstrations, hot air balloon shows, artistic kite displays, culinary demonstrations, and performances of traditional crafts and arts... from various ministries, departments, and 34 provinces and cities.

The National Achievements Exhibition has become a must-see destination for many people during this year's National Celebration. Not only that, the Exhibition has also become the largest cultural and political event ever held in Vietnam, affirming the appeal of the nation's "80-Year Journey of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness."

The National Achievements Exhibition is organized in an open, multi-tiered format, with exhibition spaces logically arranged across indoor and outdoor areas in three main sections: the General Exhibition Area at the Kim Quy Exhibition House with the theme "Vietnam - Journey to a New Era"; the Outdoor Exhibition Area in the West, South, and East courtyards with the theme "Integration and Development"; and the International Exhibition Area and 12 Cultural Industries with the theme "Integration and Innovation" in Block A Exhibition House.
