The fate of a YouTuber with 1 million subscribers.

The court rejected the request to review the legality of the arrest warrant for Kim Se Eui, the head of the Garosero Research Institute YouTube channel.

According to Star News , on June 2nd, the 8-1 Criminal Appeals Division of the Seoul Central District Court held a hearing to review Kim Se Eui's pretrial detention. At the hearing, Kim Se Eui's request for release was rejected. The panel of judges stated that "there was no basis to accept the request."

Previously, after being detained for five days, on May 31st, Kim Se Eui filed a request for a review of the legality of her detention. This is a legal procedure that allows the court to once again assess the legality and necessity of the detention measure during the investigation process.

After his request was rejected by the court, Kim Se Eui left the courtroom with his hands handcuffed. The YouTuber with 1 million subscribers claims his detention is leading to accusations related to defamation of the late actress Kim Sae Ron.

Currently, Kim Se Eui will remain in custody pending the results of the investigation. The investigating authorities are reportedly finalizing the details related to the suspicion that Kim Se Eui pressured Kim Soo Hyun and may soon transfer the case to the prosecutor's office.

Kim Se Eui is currently accused of spreading false information on YouTube and other platforms, claiming that Kim Soo Hyun dated Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor, and that Kim Sae Ron's suicide stemmed from pressure to repay debts from the actor and his management company.
