On that journey, typical “red addresses” among hundreds, thousands of addresses existing in the “brave and resilient” Quang Nam land today have been playing an important bridging role in preserving historical memories, spreading patriotism and arousing civic responsibility in the young generation.
The Monument to the Heroic Vietnamese Mother in Cam Mountain (Quang Phu Ward) is modeled after the Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Thu (whose 9 biological children, 1 son-in-law and 2 grandchildren died in two resistance wars). It is a national project, a symbol rich in emotions and spiritual weight.
The project is not only a memorial site but also a traditional cultural - historical - educational center. Tens of thousands of cadres, employees, students, union members, youths, and young soldiers come here every year to offer incense and listen to stories about the great Vietnamese mother, about revolutionary families who are steadfastly loyal to their homeland and country.
Not far from the Monument to the Heroic Mothers of Vietnam is the Ky Anh tunnel, which was once the base of operations for our armed forces and people during the fierce war years. The intricate underground tunnel system is a living testament to the intelligence and will of the people during the resistance war.
Going back to the highlands of Tra My - where the Zone 5 Party Committee relic site is located - once the "resistance capital" of the Central - Central Highlands region. This is where the footprints of high-ranking leaders of the Central Committee, Zone 5 Party Committee, main force troops, propaganda and mass mobilization officers... were left during an extremely difficult period (1962 - 1975).
Along with that, it is impossible not to mention the Hon Tau base, which used to be the Headquarters of the armed forces of Zone 5 during the resistance war against the US. In the rugged terrain in the middle of the mountains and forests, this place used to be the command center for a series of major campaigns of our army attacking the plains and the giant military base complex of the US and the Saigon government in Da Nang.
Not only in the countryside and mountainous areas, Da Nang also has "fortresses of the people's hearts" in the heart of the city. For example, the K20 base (Ngu Hanh Son ward) is one of the important revolutionary bases in the heart of the enemy.
This place used to be the center of operations for special forces, urban cadres who infiltrated to fight, hid cadres, and actively mobilized the masses to rise up and revolt.
Small houses, secret tunnels, communication lines... all are still preserved, becoming red addresses for extracurricular programs, journeys to the source, especially attracting students to participate.

Connecting, restoring and promoting the value of "red addresses" is not only about preserving relics, but more deeply, about connecting the flow of history with the contemporary life.
In today's flow of integration and development, Da Nang will never forget its glorious historical roots that many previous generations created.
Connecting "red addresses" is not only a matter of preserving history and culture, but also the most practical act of gratitude to the previous generations.
And most importantly, it is the best way to educate today's and future generations - so that the heroic flames from the past continue to burn brightly in the journey of building the future for our homeland.
