Expand domestic and foreign consumption markets
On the morning of June 12, in Vung Tau City, the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong Province and Ba Ria-Vung Tau organized an event to display, introduce and connect trade of typical rural industrial products between the three localities. The program attracted the participation of more than 50 enterprises, cooperatives and distribution systems of the three localities.
At this event, OCA Viet Nhat Co., Ltd. is one of the prominent units in the field of processing high-quality agricultural products. With the development orientation according to the value chain "from farm to chocolate bar", OCA has built an organic cocoa raw material area in Chau Duc district and is self-sufficient in the entire production process, from fermentation, drying to deep processing. AT Company representative stated that Binh Duong and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces are two potential markets with rapidly increasing demand for functional foods. "We hope to connect with our partners to expand the ecosystem of health care products in a sustainable way," said AT Food representative.
Creating a rural industrial product supply chain
According to businesses and distributors, this event is an important opportunity to expand the network of partners, especially to find quality, stable and clear-origin sources of goods. Mr. Truong Chi Cuong, Director of Minh Chau Self-service Store said: “We want to approach production facilities in the region that share the same orientation of sustainable development, meet food safety and hygiene criteria, trace the origin and have reasonable prices”.
After research, dozens of memorandums of understanding were signed at the event between production facilities and distributors. Enterprises expect that from today's "handshakes" a short, flexible supply chain will be formed, better serving the demand for good products, clean, organic food locally.
Mr. Dinh Trong Cuong, Director of the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting, said that the event took place in the context of the new Ho Chi Minh City preparing to come into operation, and was expected to create momentum for rural industrial enterprises to expand their market share, build a stable and sustainable inter-regional supply chain, and contribute to shaping an integrated and closely linked economic space of the new Ho Chi Minh City and the entire Southern key region.
