Latest pepper price news today June 19, 2025
According to information from the Vietnam Customs Department, in May 2025, our country's pepper exports reached 26,328 tons, bringing in 182.28 million USD, with an average price of 6,923 USD/ton.
Compared to the previous month, pepper exports decreased by 0.4% in volume, 1% in value and 0.6% in price. However, compared to the same period last year, the export volume decreased by 15.3%, but the value increased by 30.6% and the price increased by 54.26%.
Since the beginning of the year, in the first 5 months of 2025, the total pepper export volume reached 99,922 tons, equivalent to more than 690.43 million USD, with an average price of 6,910 USD/ton. Although the export volume decreased by 12.5%, the turnover and price both recorded growth of 40.5% and 60.5% respectively compared to the same period in 2024.
The US continues to be the largest consumer market, spending nearly 185 million USD to import 24,687 tons of pepper from Vietnam in the first 5 months of the year; although the import volume decreased by 18.9%, the value increased sharply by 34.8% compared to 2024.
