The Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA) in collaboration with export enterprises organized a training program on sustainable pepper development at the Bechamp Dak Nong Organic Agricultural Products Cooperative, Truong Xuan Commune, Dak Song District.
More than 100 farmers attending were equipped with knowledge about maximum residue levels (MRLs), warnings from import markets, how to identify Sudan-contaminated tarpaulins, as well as safe pepper drying and storage processes.
Representatives of enterprises shared practical experiences in production and learned lessons from cases of returned goods. The training focused on raising awareness about cultivation, processing, preservation and prevention of chemical contamination risks such as Sudan, in order to minimize risks right from the production stage in key areas such as Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
This program plays an important role in maintaining the quality and reputation of Vietnamese pepper, meeting strict standards from international markets such as the EU, US, and Japan, while aiming to build a safe and sustainable product value chain.
