Petrovietnam leaders said that in order to realize the development strategy in the new period, meet the trust and expectations of the Party and State leaders, implement Conclusion 76-KL/TW dated April 24, 2024 of the Politburo, as well as be in line with the energy transition trend, Petrovietnam has identified a new development model, with 3 strategic pillars of energy, industry, and services, in which energy is the core pillar.
In particular, Petrovietnam aims to play a leading role in promoting the development of other sectors and fields of the economy through creating linkage chains and cooperating with leading corporations and companies in the country and region.
On June 17, the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 Ranking (500 largest enterprises in Southeast Asia) officially honored Petrovietnam in 11th place in the region, 5th in the energy sector, and also the Top 1 largest enterprise in Vietnam.
With that role and position, Petrovietnam has been implementing many comprehensive cooperations with corporations and enterprises such as Viettel , ACV, TKV... to strengthen connections, expand scale, increase production and business capacity, and optimize competitiveness.

This orientation has demonstrated Petrovietnam's initiative in implementing the group's development strategy in the new period as well as in accordance with the Prime Minister's direction on enhancing support and cooperation between economic groups.
VIMC is currently Vietnam's leading enterprise in the field of maritime, seaports and logistics, with a system of key ports stretching from north to south, along with large-scale, modern maritime transport and logistics services capacity; playing an important role in connecting international trade, developing the marine economy and ensuring the national maritime supply chain.
Petrovietnam Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Members Le Manh Hung affirmed that Petrovietnam and VIMC have similarities in their core activities related to the sea. At the same time, the signing between the two sides took place at a favorable time when the Party, State, National Assembly, and Government are issuing many resolutions to guide the development of enterprises, especially State-owned enterprises, as well as providing institutional solutions for business operations.
In the spirit of close cooperation, optimization and development of each side's strengths, Petrovietnam and VIMC will continue to research and develop the application of new products and new technologies in operations and management, to enhance the work and activities of both sides.
The signing of the comprehensive cooperation agreement will exponentially enhance the competitiveness of Petrovietnam and VIMC, contributing to building and developing the country's economy in accordance with the orientation of the Party and State.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIMC Le Anh Son affirmed that the cooperation with Petrovietnam, the number 1 enterprise in Vietnam, will be the basis for both sides to develop together, optimize available resources, and contribute to the construction and development of the country's economy in accordance with the spirit and goals that the Party, State, Government and people expect from State-owned enterprises.
The comprehensive cooperation between Petrovietnam and VIMC will open a new chapter in the relationship between the two sides, promote the development of Vietnam's marine economy in general, and create a foundation to bring Vietnamese enterprises to the international market.
The event not only marks the strategic connection between key sectors of the economy, but also contributes to the successful implementation of sustainable development goals, digital transformation and industrialization and modernization of the country, contributing to strengthening the connection between national value chains, improving competitiveness and promoting sustainable development.
