On December 11th, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters, Central Committee Secretary and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung received Takebe Tsutomu, Special Advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance.

During the meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung expressed his pleasure at the rapid and substantive development of the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and highly appreciated and thanked Special Advisor Takebe for his dedication and commitment to promoting Vietnam-Japan relations over the years, especially in the areas of cultural exchange, people-to-people exchanges, local cooperation, and human resource training.

Takebe Tsutomu, Special Advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance, expressed his pleasure at meeting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung again after their meeting at the "Vietnam-Japan Local Cooperation Forum" successfully organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Quang Ninh at the end of November 2025.

Thanking the Vietnamese leadership for their strong support and guidance in promoting the progress of the Vietnam-Japan University Project, as well as the Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung's interest and support for the university's activities, Mr. Takebe informed about the achievements the university has made recently and shared its future development direction.

Affirming that Vietnamese leaders are very interested in and eager for close cooperation from Japan to promote the development of the Vietnam-Japan University into a leading training institution in the region in the future, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung highly appreciated the recent positive progress of the Vietnam-Japan University Project, as well as the university's vision and orientation in training human resources for digital transformation and green transformation, meeting the demand for high-quality human resources for Japan and Vietnam, especially in important strategic fields.

Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung requested Special Advisor Takebe to promote stable job placements for graduates of the Vietnam-Japan University, support the improvement of training quality, and create a necessary source of high-quality human resources to meet the needs of both countries, focusing on training high-quality human resources in semiconductors, digital transformation, and green transformation…

Acknowledging the remarks of Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung, Special Advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance, Takebe Tsutomu, affirmed that he will continue to strive to contribute further to the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan in the future.
