(NLĐO) - Two businesses in Ho Chi Minh City are joining forces to promote the development of the "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space" in the digital age and the cultural industry.

On May 18th, in Ho Chi Minh City, DatViet VAC Group Holdings (DatVietVAC) and Saigontourist Group signed a 7-year strategic cooperation agreement to promote the cultural industry and develop cultural, tourism, and entertainment models in line with the digital transformation trend.

One of the highlights of the cooperation program is the joint research and development by the two businesses of the " Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space in the Digital Age" model. Accordingly, numerous cultural, artistic, and entertainment experience spaces will be implemented at the locations of both companies, combining projection technology, digital content, and interactive community activities.

The planned facilities include LED screen touchpoints, an exhibition and event center, spaces for performing arts and music, a museum, and a series of large-scale cultural activities, festivals, and entertainment events.

Mr. Dinh Ba Thanh, founding chairman of DatVietVAC, believes that the world is witnessing a convergence trend between entertainment technology and the accommodation and experiential tourism industries.

According to him, the combination of DatVietVAC's content ecosystem and entertainment technology with Saigontourist Group's tourism and hotel infrastructure not only signifies business cooperation but also aims to contribute to the development of Vietnam's experiential economy and cultural industry.

A representative from DatVietVAC stated that the collaboration aims to transform cultural content into multi-platform consumer experiences, while also creating new growth drivers for Vietnam's cultural industry.

Meanwhile, Saigontourist Group will leverage its advantages in tourism infrastructure, hotels, convention centers, and service networks nationwide to expand tourism products associated with cultural and entertainment experiences.

Both sides expect that the connection between the tourism industry and entertainment media technology will contribute to refreshing the public experience, especially for young people; and at the same time expand models such as experiential entertainment, tourism linked to music events, and fan economy.

With the cultural industry identified as one of the new economic development drivers of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country, the cooperation between the two enterprises is expected to contribute to gradually internationalizing Vietnamese cultural values, increasing the attractiveness of urban tourism and expanding the influence of Vietnamese culture globally.

According to the agreement, DatVietVAC and Saigontourist Group will also cooperate in organizing international-level festivals, concerts, fan meetings, and cultural and entertainment events in the future.
