Recently, the movie "Do Hoa Nien" (starring Truong Lang Hac and Trieu Kim Mach) has continuously received negative feedback related to its content.
On the evening of July 13, the film opened the last 8 episodes early. According to the film's developments, Ly Dung became the Regent Princess (Emperor) , and got married for the third time to Bui Van Tuyen. Meanwhile, Ly Xuyen left Hoa Kinh, traveling the world with Tan Chan Chan, To Dung Hoa and Thuong Quan Nha preparing for the wedding.
It is worth mentioning that in the original, Ly Dung and Bui Van Tuyen had two children together, one with the father's surname (Bui Thanh Vien) and one with the mother's surname (Ly Hi). In the "credit" section at the end of the film, although the producer also included the names of the two children, they were nowhere to be seen in the film, leaving the audience wondering.
Some viewers humorously said that the screenwriter let the female lead get pregnant from episode 34 to episode 40 and still didn't let her give birth, while others predicted that the film would have a side story for Ly Dung - Bui Van Tuyen's family. The reason is because the supporting male character To Dung Khanh took up too much screen time, so the 2 babies didn't have a chance to appear.
Not only was the ending of "Do Hoa Nien" criticized for prioritizing the male supporting character too much, but the image of Princess Ly Dung was ruined, far from the original, which was also the reason why the film was criticized.
For example, in the story, after Ly Dung was reborn, returned to the past and married Bui Van Tuyen for the second time, she did not want to divorce and only felt a little regret for the male supporting character like an old friend, because they had been together for 30 years.
However, when it was made into a movie, the screenwriter changed the story so that the princess was infatuated with the male lead, "playing two boats" (meaning playing two fish with one hand).
Previously, the male lead Bui Van Tuyen's character in the film also made viewers angry. The reason is that in the original, Bui Van Tuyen was portrayed as someone who always devoted himself to his career, but when it was shown in the film, this character focused on love, and many people even thought that he relied on his wife to climb higher.
The scene where Bui Van Tuyen was shocked and fainted upon hearing the news of his promotion to Fourth Rank was criticized for his poor and forced handling of the situation, while in the original, this scene was told more reasonably, because at that time Bui Van Tuyen was physically weak due to lack of sleep and excessive stress from working too much before.
After that, although Bui Van Tuyen started to focus on his career and responded to the male supporting character To Dung Khanh, this late change caused "Do Hoa Nien" to lose a significant number of viewers. The majority believe that if it had stuck closely to the original, the film would not have become a "flop".
